We are recruiting for a large firm of solicitors with a strong reputation in Employment Law, seeking a skilled and experienced Claimant Employment Law Fee Earner to join their team on the outskirts of Sheffield.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of employment law matters on behalf of claimants, including unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, and breach of contract claims.
  • Drafting, preparing and reviewing legal documents such as pleadings, witness statements, and schedules of loss.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support cases.
  • Advising clients on the merits of their case, and the potential costs and risks involved.
  • Attending court hearings, case management conferences, and settlement negotiations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on the progress of their case.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in employment law and industry best practices.
  • Contributing to the development and growth of the employment law practice within the firm.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Employment Law as a claimant fee earner.
  • A strong understanding of employment law principles, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and breach of contract.
  • Experience in managing a caseload of employment law matters, from instruction to resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent drafting skills.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice and excellent client service.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using case management systems.
  • A valid practising certificate is desirable, but not essential.
