This is an outstanding opportunity for a litigation professional looking to move away from volume fast-track work and focus on higher-value, more complex Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims.

You'll be trusted with a quality caseload of multi-track matters typically valued between £125,000 and £250,000, working alongside some of the most experienced personal injury specialists in the sector.

The Role

Working within a specialist claimant personal injury department, you will take ownership of a portfolio of complex Employer's Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) multi-track claims from instruction through to settlement or trial.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing a caseload of litigated multi-track EL/PL claims valued between £125,000 and £250,000.
  • Investigating liability, causation and quantum on complex injury matters.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss and other key legal documentation.
  • Instructing and liaising with medical experts, counsel and rehabilitation providers.
  • Negotiating settlements with insurers and defendant representatives.
  • Securing interim payments where appropriate.
  • Providing exceptional client care and maintaining regular communication throughout the lifecycle of each claim.
  • Identifying litigation strategy to maximise outcomes for clients while ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules.

What we're looking for

This opportunity would suit an ambitious Personal Injury Fee Earner, Legal Executive or Solicitor with experience handling claimant EL/PL litigation who is keen to progress into more technically challenging work.

  • Experience managing litigated Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims.
  • Previous exposure to multi-track personal injury litigation.
  • Strong understanding of liability, quantum and the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Excellent negotiation and client relationship skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing a busy caseload.
