The Role
Working within a specialist claimant personal injury department, you will take ownership of a portfolio of complex Employer's Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) multi-track claims from instruction through to settlement or trial.
Your responsibilities will include
- Managing a caseload of litigated multi-track EL/PL claims valued between £125,000 and £250,000.
- Investigating liability, causation and quantum on complex injury matters.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss and other key legal documentation.
- Instructing and liaising with medical experts, counsel and rehabilitation providers.
- Negotiating settlements with insurers and defendant representatives.
- Securing interim payments where appropriate.
- Providing exceptional client care and maintaining regular communication throughout the lifecycle of each claim.
- Identifying litigation strategy to maximise outcomes for clients while ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules.
What we're looking for
This opportunity would suit an ambitious Personal Injury Fee Earner, Legal Executive or Solicitor with experience handling claimant EL/PL litigation who is keen to progress into more technically challenging work.
