CRA Consulting is partnering with a large, highly respected national Serious Injury practice to appoint an Associate Team Leader as part of its continued investment in senior technical leadership. This is a credible step-up or lateral move for an experienced Serious Injury solicitor or senior fee earner who enjoys technical excellence, mentoring, and influencing outcomes, but wants to do so in a modern, flexible environment that values expertise.
You will work on complex, high-value RTA Serious Injury claims (£100,000-£1m+), supporting senior colleagues and shaping best practice across the department - all within a genuinely supportive leadership structure.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of the Serious Injury leadership function. Rather than carrying a heavy personal caseload, you will focus on technical supervision, strategy, and people development, acting as a trusted sounding board for senior fee earners handling some of the most challenging claims in the business. It’s an opportunity to lead through expertise, influence outcomes at scale, and build a long-term leadership career - without sacrificing work-life balance.
What you will be doing:
- Providing hands-on technical supervision and coaching on complex multi-track RTA claims
- Supporting senior fee earners on cases valued £100k-£1m+
- Driving technical quality, consistency, and governance across the team
- Conducting regular technical 1:1s, file reviews, and structured feedback
- Supporting case strategy, costs, billing governance, and settlement planning
- Contributing to QA, risk management, and technical compliance
- Using MI and performance data to improve outcomes and productivity
- Mentoring senior colleagues and helping develop future technical leaders
- Collaborating closely with Team Leaders, Technical Leads, and senior management
- Playing an active role in embedding best practice and business-wide improvements
What they are looking for:
- Solicitor, FILEX or equivalent professional background
- 8+ years’ PQE
- Strong track record in high-value, multi-track Serious Injury / RTA litigation
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or coaching senior fee earners
- Excellent technical knowledge of CPR, costs, funding, and litigation strategy
- Comfortable working within a performance-led environment
- Confident using case management systems (Proclaim ideal, not essential)
- Commercially aware, organised, and emotionally intelligent
