A well-established and highly regarded Yorkshire law firm is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Property team in Wakefield. With over 40 years of delivering trusted legal services and a strong reputation for client care and approachable advice, this firm offers a supportive environment where individuals are genuinely valued and developed.

You will be supporting experienced fee earners on a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build transactions. The team handles a high volume of work with a strong emphasis on client service and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting fee earners with day-to-day conveyancing transactions
  • Preparing and drafting legal documentation
  • Managing files from instruction through to completion
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
  • Handling post-completion matters and general administrative duties
About You:
  • Previous experience working within a conveyancing or residential property team, ideally with 2+ years experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
