About the Firm/Role:

CRA Consulting are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established high street law firm based in Sheffield city centre. This reputable multi-service practice is known for delivering quality legal services to a loyal and growing client base.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Conveyancer to lead the Residential Property team within a busy and fast-paced conveyancing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload of mixed residential sales and purchases from instruction through to completion, as well as supervising an assistant. This role is ideally suited to someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience in residential conveyancing who is looking to take the next step in their career by taking ownership of a team and continuing to build on the department's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running a full caseload of residential property matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build transactions
  • Supervising and supporting an assistant within the team
  • Drafting documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Liaising confidently with clients by telephone and in writing, ensuring excellent client service throughout
  • Managing files through to registration, with good working knowledge of SDLT and Land Registry requirements
  • Using case management systems effectively to manage workflow
  • Participating in business development activities and helping to build long-term client relationships

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience running your own residential conveyancing caseload
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or experienced fee earner
  • Confident in supervising support staff and overseeing workflow
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing processes
  • Experience using case management systems essential; familiarity with Partner for Windows, Perfect Portal and InfoTrack desirable but not essential - training can be provided
