Overview
Our client is an established and well-regarded multi-service law firm with a strong reputation throughout the Nottinghamshire region. The firm is known for delivering high-quality legal services across a range of practice areas and for fostering a supportive, professional working environment. Due to continued growth within its Personal Injury and Medical Negligence department, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the team.
The department handles a varied and high-quality caseload, including serious and catastrophic injury matters, and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers on complex and high-value cases.
Position
Working closely with a Senior Partner, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support and advice on a caseload of personal injury matters, including serious and catastrophic injury claims, with some exposure to clinical negligence work. You will manage your own caseload with minimal supervision, while also assisting the Partner on higher-value and more complex cases.
The role will involve reviewing medical records, witness statements, reports and other documentation, as well as undertaking legal research and analysis. You will liaise regularly with clients, key stakeholders, councils and colleagues, requiring clear communication and a professional, client-focused approach. In addition, you will allocate and oversee workflows for support staff, contributing to the efficient running of the department.
Key Details
The successful candidate will join a well-established firm offering a supportive and flexible working environment. The firm provides a competitive salary and benefits package, including 21 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, an additional four days' leave during the Christmas office closure, and the option to purchase up to five additional days' holiday. Holiday entitlement increases after five years' service.
Further benefits include a pension scheme, free eye tests and eye care plan, free or discounted parking, and access to free legal services such as will writing and conveyancing. The firm also operates a discretionary flexible working policy and places strong emphasis on employee wellbeing and long-term retention.
