The Opportunity

CRA Consulting is working with a highly respected national law firm to appoint an Operations Manager to lead their Serious Injury division. This is a unique chance to step into a pivotal leadership role, shaping the performance, growth, and culture of a busy department handling high‑value, multi‑track serious injury and personal injury claims.

This role will suit a proven people leader who thrives in complex PI environments and is motivated by delivering results through people, process excellence, and first‑class client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of serious injury professionals via team leaders, ensuring performance, capability, and engagement.
  • Oversee operational delivery of complex, high‑value multi‑track injury work, maintaining quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Drive performance against operational, customer, and financial KPIs – ensuring consistency across a large‑scale PI team.
  • Embed new working practices, systems, and behaviours to enhance case progression and improve client service.
  • Proactively identify risks, capacity issues, or performance shortfalls, implementing effective solutions quickly.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure growth, continuous improvement, and staff engagement remain central to departmental success.

About You

  • Proven operational leadership within large personal injury/serious injury or multi‑track PI teams.
  • A strong people‑first approach with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • Strategic vision combined with hands‑on execution – balancing detail and the bigger picture.
  • Credibility to influence at senior level, with a commercial mindset and operational resilience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
