The Role
You will advise and represent parents, carers and young people on a broad range of SEND matters, providing practical and compassionate legal advice throughout what can often be a challenging and emotional process.
- Advising on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Appeals to the First‑tier Tribunal (SEND)
- School and local authority disputes
- Disability discrimination claims
- Judicial review matters where appropriate
- Working closely with families, schools and external professionals
- Managing your own caseload with autonomy whilst receiving support from an experienced team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience handling SEND or education law matters
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent experience
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong advocacy, negotiation and case‑management abilities
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting clients
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to the wider team
