Our client is a highly regarded national law firm with a strong reputation across the UK legal market. Recognised as a leading firm in the Legal 500, the business is well known for delivering high-quality legal services while maintaining strong ethical values and a collaborative working culture. Due to continued growth within their Personal Injury department, the firm is now looking to recruit an experienced Serious Injury Solicitor to join their Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value multi-track cases involving life-changing and catastrophic injuries within a well-established and highly respected legal team.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of serious injury claims, focusing on complex and high-value matters arising from life-changing or catastrophic injuries. These cases may involve significant medical evidence, long-term rehabilitation considerations, and substantial compensation claims. The role will involve conducting detailed investigations into liability and quantum, reviewing medical evidence, instructing medical and other expert witnesses, and liaising closely with clients throughout the claims process. You will also work alongside senior team members on particularly complex matters, contributing to litigation strategy and case progression. You will prepare key legal documentation throughout the litigation process, negotiate settlements where appropriate, and ensure all matters are progressed in line with court directions and procedural requirements. In some cases, you may also support matters progressing towards trial. Given the nature of these claims, the role requires a strong client-focused approach, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic guidance to individuals who have suffered significant and life-altering injuries.
The successful candidate will join a well-established and forward-thinking firm offering a competitive salary alongside an attractive benefits package. Benefits include up to 28 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays, a holiday purchase and sale scheme, enhanced pension scheme, and private healthcare. Additional benefits include an individual and firm-wide bonus scheme, reward and recognition initiatives, a charity and volunteer day off, a dedicated wellbeing day, discounted legal fees, and discounts across a range of high street retailers and restaurants.
