Join One of the Region's Leading Private Client Teams.
CRA Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and award-winning regional law firm in the appointment of an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Leeds office.
This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of one of the strongest Private Client teams outside of London, working alongside recognised specialists on a broad range of complex and high-value matters.
If you're looking to move away from volume work and develop your expertise within a collaborative, technically strong environment, this role offers genuine long-term career prospects.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is far more than a traditional Private Client role.
You'll be joining a team recognised for its technical excellence, acting for high-net-worth individuals, trustees and families across a wide range of sophisticated estate planning and administration matters.
The firm has built an exceptional reputation for delivering outstanding client care while maintaining a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture where people are encouraged to develop their careers.
With realistic billing expectations, agile working and a strong emphasis on work-life balance, this is an opportunity to enjoy high-quality work without compromising your personal life.
The Role
You will manage your own varied caseload whilst working closely with experienced colleagues on more complex matters where appropriate. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on all aspects of estate administration.
- Managing taxable and non-taxable estates from instruction through to completion.
- Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
- Advising on Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax issues arising during estate administration.
- Supporting clients with estate and succession planning.
- Assisting with trust administration and ongoing trust management.
- Building long-term relationships with private individuals, families and trustees.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Private Wealth team.
- Participating in networking and business development activities to further enhance the firm's already excellent reputation.
What We're Looking For
- Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives who have:
- Around 5 years' experience (or equivalent) within Private Client.
- Strong experience in estate administration and probate matters.
- Knowledge of inheritance tax and estate planning.
- Trust administration experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
- Excellent technical ability combined with outstanding client care skills.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to advising clients.
- The ability to build lasting relationships with clients and professional referrers.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality legal services.
- The Package
- In return, the successful candidate can expect an excellent benefits package including:
- Salary between £50,000 and £70,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid and agile working arrangements.
- Excellent work-life balance.
- Generous annual leave with the option to purchase additional holidays.
- Private Medical Insurance.
- Enhanced family-friendly policies.
- Life Assurance and Group Income Protection.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Pension scheme.
- Health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Firm-wide social events and team activities.
- Ongoing technical training and career development.
- Sensible billing target of approximately 1,200 chargeable hours per annum, allowing you to focus on delivering quality client service rather than chasing unrealistic targets.
