About the Firm

Our client is a well-established specialist claimant law firm with a strong reputation in clinical negligence and personal injury work. Based in Sheffield, the firm is known for its approachable culture, high standards of client care, and genuine commitment to developing lawyers at the start of their careers. Due to continued growth within the Clinical Negligence department, the firm is now looking to appoint a Junior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to build specialist expertise within a supportive and well-structured environment.

The Role

This is a hands‑on junior position offering early exposure to a varied claimant clinical negligence caseload. You will be involved in:

  • Managing a caseload of lower‑value clinical negligence claims with supervision
  • Assisting senior fee earners on more complex and higher‑value matters
  • Reviewing and analysing medical records and expert evidence
  • Drafting letters of claim, correspondence, and court documents
  • Instructing medical experts and reviewing reports
  • Communicating with clients in a sensitive and professional manner
  • Supporting investigations, liability assessments, and settlement discussions

You will receive strong supervision and structured training, with encouragement to take on responsibility early and develop your own caseload.

About You

  • Recently Qualified Solicitor (0-1 PQE)
  • Experience in clinical negligence or personal injury during training contract
  • Strong analytical and written skills
  • Confident communicator with good client care ability
  • Organised and capable of managing competing priorities
  • Interest in developing a long‑term career in clinical negligence claimant work
