Overview
Our client is a reputable and forward‑thinking law firm based in Macclesfield, known for delivering high‑quality legal services and exceptional client care. Due to growth within their industrial disease team, they are looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Disease Litigator to join their specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation professional to manage a diverse caseload while developing expertise in claimant industrial disease matters.
Position
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of industrial disease claims, including noise‑induced hearing loss, hand‑arm vibration syndrome, asbestos‑related disease, and respiratory claims. You will handle matters from instruction through to settlement or trial, drafting pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to counsel or experts as required. The role involves detailed liability and quantum investigations, gathering evidence to support claims, engaging in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution, and managing interactions with medical experts, counsel, insurers, and defendants\’ representatives. You will ensure compliance with the firm\’s case management procedures, SRA regulations, and all relevant protocols while maintaining high standards of client communication and providing clear, empathetic advice throughout the litigation process.
Key Details
The firm offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £55,000 per annum, dependent on qualification status and experience. Employees receive 23 days\’ annual leave plus bank holidays, with rising holiday entitlement in line with service, a birthday day off, and closure over the Christmas period. Additional benefits include free off‑site parking, a workplace pension scheme, private healthcare, and hybrid working arrangements after the probationary period.
