The Opportunity
CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded Sheffield-based law firm to recruit a Head of Conveyancing at Director level. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced residential property lawyer or conveyancing professional to step into a strategic leadership role, overseeing a busy and well-established conveyancing function. The firm has a strong reputation across South Yorkshire and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with genuine scope to shape and grow a department. You will play a key role in driving performance, leading from the front, and developing both the team and the wider offering in line with the firm's growth plans.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and managing the conveyancing department, overseeing a team of fee earners and support staff
- Managing your own caseload of residential property matters where required
- Driving team performance, productivity and service delivery standards
- Implementing and improving processes to maximise efficiency and client experience
- Supporting business development activity and strengthening referral relationships
- Working closely with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of the department
- Mentoring, developing and supporting junior members of the team
