CRA Consulting is pleased to be partnering with a highly regarded national law firm in the search for an experienced Credit Hire Litigator to join its expanding Liverpool office.

The Role

As a Credit Hire Litigator, you will manage your own portfolio of litigated road traffic accident claims, specialising in credit hire disputes from the point proceedings are issued through to settlement or trial.

The role requires a confident and organised litigator who is comfortable handling both liability-admitted and disputed matters, making tactical decisions and delivering commercially focused outcomes for clients.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing a litigated caseload of credit hire files from commencement of proceedings through to conclusion.
  • Reviewing liability, quantum and evidential issues to formulate effective litigation strategies.
  • Drafting pleadings, applications, witness statements and other court documentation.
  • Preparing matters for hearings and trial where necessary.
  • Negotiating settlements with claimant representatives and other third parties.
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, counsel and experts throughout the litigation process.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with procedural deadlines.
  • Working towards individual performance and financial targets while maintaining excellent client service.

About You

Applications are welcomed from experienced Credit Hire Litigators, Litigation Executives, Fee Earners, Paralegals and Solicitors who can demonstrate experience handling litigated credit hire matters.

To be successful, you will ideally have

  • Previous experience managing your own litigated credit hire caseload.
  • A sound understanding of credit hire litigation, civil procedure and relevant case law.
  • Experience progressing RTA claims through the litigation process independently.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy preparation skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities with the confidence to prioritise a busy workload.
  • A commercial approach combined with exceptional attention to detail.
