CRA Consulting is delighted to be working with a well‑established and highly regarded law firm in Newark-on-Trent to recruit an experienced

Conveyancing Assistant on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Conveyancing Assistant with at least 12 months' experience to join a busy and supportive residential property team.

You'll work alongside experienced fee earners, gain exposure to a varied caseload, and continue developing your technical knowledge within a collaborative environment that genuinely values career progression.

The Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners throughout the entire residential conveyancing process, helping to ensure transactions progress efficiently while delivering an outstanding level of client service.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Providing day‑to‑day support to fee earners managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Assisting with matters from initial instruction through to exchange and completion.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents, contracts and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties.
  • Managing files, undertaking compliance checks and maintaining accurate case records.
  • Monitoring key dates and proactively progressing transactions.
  • Delivering exceptional client care and building strong professional relationships throughout the conveyancing process.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience within a residential conveyancing team.
  • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or in a similar support role.
  • A solid understanding of the residential conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients and third parties.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing your career.
