The Role

You’ll work closely with senior solicitors and partners on a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, supporting cases through investigation, litigation, and resolution. The role offers hands-on involvement across all stages of the claims process and is ideally suited to a Newly Qualified Solicitor or junior lawyer looking to build specialist expertise within medical negligence litigation. You’ll gain valuable experience handling sensitive and complex matters involving serious injuries, expert medical evidence, and large-scale litigation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting on complex and high-value clinical negligence and medical negligence claims
  • Supporting group action and multi-claimant litigation matters
  • Reviewing and analysing medical records, expert reports, and supporting evidence
  • Drafting legal correspondence, witness statements, and court documentation
  • Liaising with medical experts, Counsel, and clients throughout the claims process
  • Assisting with investigations, case strategy, and litigation preparation
  • Supporting settlement discussions and progression of litigated matters
  • Maintaining clear and empathetic communication with clients
  • Assisting with wider team initiatives and business development activity where appropriate

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE)
  • Previous experience within Clinical Negligence or Personal Injury, either during training or post-qualification, would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
  • A genuine interest in claimant medical negligence litigation
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
