The Opportunity

CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading national personal injury practice to recruit an experienced Catastrophic Injury Team Leader. This is a senior-level opportunity to join a highly regarded Serious Injury team known for handling complex, high-value claims with a strong focus on client outcomes and technical excellence. The firm has built an outstanding reputation within the claimant market, combining deep legal expertise with a genuinely progressive and supportive working environment. You will be joining a business that prioritises quality over volume, offering the autonomy, time and infrastructure required to manage life‑changing cases properly. The role provides the chance to lead from the front‑both in terms of case strategy and team development‑within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary setting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and developing a team of Associates handling complex, high-value Serious Injury claims
  • Taking ownership of case strategy across the lifecycle of multi‑track claims, including liability, quantum and rehabilitation
  • Managing and overseeing a caseload of catastrophic injury matters, often exceeding £1m+ in value
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior and mid-level fee earners
  • Conducting 1‑2‑1s, performance reviews and supporting ongoing professional development
  • Working closely with clients, families, counsel, experts and rehabilitation providers
  • Playing a key role in shaping team performance and contributing to wider departmental strategy

What they’re looking for:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with full practising rights
  • Typically 8+ years' PQE with strong experience in Serious / Catastrophic Injury work
  • Proven track record handling high‑value, multi‑track claims (£1m‑£3m+)
  • Experience mentoring, supervising or leading other fee earners
  • Strong technical ability across liability, quantum and complex injury litigation
  • Excellent client care skills and the ability to manage sensitive, life‑changing cases
  • A collaborative, professional approach with strong leadership capability
