The Opportunity
CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading national personal injury practice to recruit an experienced Catastrophic Injury Team Leader. This is a senior-level opportunity to join a highly regarded Serious Injury team known for handling complex, high-value claims with a strong focus on client outcomes and technical excellence. What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and developing a team of Associates handling complex, high-value Serious Injury claims
- Taking ownership of case strategy across the lifecycle of multi‑track claims, including liability, quantum and rehabilitation
- Managing and overseeing a caseload of catastrophic injury matters, often exceeding £1m+ in value
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior and mid-level fee earners
- Conducting 1‑2‑1s, performance reviews and supporting ongoing professional development
- Working closely with clients, families, counsel, experts and rehabilitation providers
- Playing a key role in shaping team performance and contributing to wider departmental strategy
What they’re looking for:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with full practising rights
- Typically 8+ years' PQE with strong experience in Serious / Catastrophic Injury work
- Proven track record handling high‑value, multi‑track claims (£1m‑£3m+)
- Experience mentoring, supervising or leading other fee earners
- Strong technical ability across liability, quantum and complex injury litigation
- Excellent client care skills and the ability to manage sensitive, life‑changing cases
- A collaborative, professional approach with strong leadership capability
