Private Client Lawyer
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000

As a Private Client Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, providing sensitive, practical and tailored advice to individuals and families. You will play a key role in supporting clients through important life decisions, offering clear guidance and maintaining the highest levels of client care. What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a caseload of private client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration.
- Advising clients on inheritance tax planning and estate planning strategies.
- Drafting Wills, trusts, and related documentation.
- Handling the administration of estates from instruction through to distribution.
- Providing compassionate and clear advice to clients during sensitive situations.
- Liaising with beneficiaries, executors, financial advisers and other professionals.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm standards.
Who We're Looking For
- A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, or relevant experience in private client work.
- Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Technically strong with a sound understanding of probate and estate administration processes.
- Client‑focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
