CRA Consulting are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded and long-established regional law firm in the recruitment of a Private Client Solicitor (1-5 PQE) to join its successful Wills & Probate team based in the firm's Peak District office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Private Client Solicitor to join a firm renowned for delivering exceptional client care and building long-standing relationships with individuals, families and business owners across Derbyshire and the surrounding regions. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive and collaborative team, handling high-quality private client work while benefiting from genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

  • Manage a varied and rewarding caseload of private client matters, providing practical and sensitive advice to clients on a broad range of issues.
  • Drafting Wills and advising on estate planning matters.
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Administering estates and obtaining Grants of Probate.
  • Advising on inheritance tax and succession planning.
  • Managing trust-related matters where appropriate.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
  • Delivering exceptional levels of client care throughout each matter.
  • Supporting the continued development and growth of the department.

About You

  • Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with between 1 and 5 years' PQE gained within a Private Client department.
  • Experience handling a broad range of wills, probate and estate administration matters.
  • Strong technical knowledge of private client law.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • The ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A genuine desire to develop a long-term career within private client practice.
  • STEP qualification or a desire to work towards STEP accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential.
