We are seeking a highly skilled Planning & Highways Legal Specialist to manage a diverse caseload of complex legal work within the Planning & Highways practice area. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of up to 6 directly managed staff and up to 15 indirectly managed consultancy/contracting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake an extensive caseload of complex legal work in the Planning & Highways practice area.
  • Manage a team of up to 6 directly managed staff.
  • Oversee up to 15 indirectly managed consultancy/contracting staff.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Proven experience in handling complex legal work related to Planning & Highways.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Admitted to the SRA or FCilex.
  • Proven experience as a practicing lawyer.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Sound knowledge of legal procedures and regulations.
