Summary

Join our team to create a nurturing safe and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. You will play a crucial role in planning and delivering care and education in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your collaboration with colleagues, parents and external agencies will ensure the best outcomes for each child fostering a diverse and inclusive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver care and education plans that align with the EYFS requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support children\’s development.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate activities to provide high-quality experiences for all children.
  • Ensure policies and curriculum planning reflect diversity and individual needs.
  • Conduct and document regular observations of children\’s play behavior and development.
  • Maintain and update children\’s Learning Journals sharing insights with parents / carers.
  • Partner with parents / carers to enhance children\’s learning at home.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to maintain a safe environment.
  • Be mindful of children\’s dietary, cultural, personal and medical needs.
  • Maintain nursery routines while considering individual child needs.
  • Serve as a positive role model to foster effective relationships among staff, parents / carers and children.
  • Uphold confidentiality in all communications with staff, parents / carers and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Experience in early childhood education and care.
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, parents and external agencies.
  • Ability to plan and evaluate educational activities.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in educational practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and maintaining safety standards.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and reviewing services for children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory safeguarding requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to championing the rights and well-being of children and young people.
