This role is a 5-6 month contract with a local authority, providing essential administrative and operational support to the Tenancy and Estates Team. The position is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of housing management services.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating appointments, processing tenancy-related requests, supporting Housing Officers during visits, and maintaining accurate records.
- Undertaking specialist activities in line with procedures to support housing management services.
- Maintaining an effective appointment system for Officers and coordinating housing surgeries, estate inspections, new tenant visits, and tenancy reviews.
- Administering requests for mutual exchanges, successions, tenancy assignments, and permissions for Housing Officer approval.
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls, responding to enquiries, and encouraging customer feedback to improve services.
- Providing housing advice at reception and via telephone, ensuring professional and courteous service.
Essential Experience Required:
- Understanding of social housing issues and their impact on customers.
- Experience in call handling and working within an office and customer service environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with a methodical approach to work.
Essential Qualifications Required:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- IT proficiency and keyboard skills essential.
- Customer service training or housing-related qualification (desirable).
