Job Purpose
Kingston Council is seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Officer to support the Revenue and Benefits service, covering Council Tax, Housing Benefits, and Business Rates (NNDR). This is a key administrative role within a small, friendly, and busy team, providing essential support to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and scan incoming post accurately and efficiently
- Index post and emails onto the NEC Revenue and Benefits system
- Triage incoming emails relating to Council Tax, Housing Benefits, and Business Rates (NNDR)
- Run and distribute various reports from the DWP portal and for the Revenue and Benefits team
- Provide general business and administrative support to the service
- Support the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
