Role Purpose
We are seeking a time-served, fully qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical works across both tenanted and void domestic properties within a social housing environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to safe, compliant, and customer-focused service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair works to a high standard in domestic properties
- Work effectively in both tenanted and void properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
- Diagnose electrical faults accurately and carry out effective repairs within domestic settings
- Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and certification in accordance with current regulations
- Trace, identify, and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently
- Undertake repairs and fault-finding on various types of domestic central heating systems
- Ensure all works comply with current IET Wiring Regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies
- Complete all job documentation accurately, including test results and certification
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Work independently or as part of a wider maintenance team as required
Requirements
- Time-served, fully qualified Electrician
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Proven experience working within social housing
- Strong knowledge of domestic electrical systems
- Excellent testing, inspection, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to trace and rectify electrical faults efficiently
- Experience working on or alongside domestic central heating systems
