Role: Fast Track RTA Fee Earner
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
We are delighted to be working alongside a well-established and highly regarded legal services provider to recruit an experienced Fast Track RTA Fee Earner to join its expanding Personal Injury team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a claimant Personal Injury professional with a proven background in Fast Track Road Traffic Accident claims and strong experience working with the MOJ Portal.
You'll take ownership of your own caseload of non-infant RTA claims, managing matters through the relevant stages of the claims process and working towards successful settlements. With a strong focus on client care, efficiency and quality, this role offers the opportunity to develop your experience within an established and growing Personal Injury department.
The Role
Joining an experienced team, you'll be responsible for progressing a caseload of Fast Track RTA claims, ensuring each matter is handled efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedural requirements.
You'll manage claims from initial instruction through to settlement, assessing the circumstances of each case, gathering supporting evidence and making sure matters continue to progress within the required timescales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of non-infant Fast Track RTA claims.
- Progressing claims through the MOJ Portal and associated litigation processes.
- Assessing liability, causation and quantum.
- Reviewing medical evidence and other documentation relevant to each claim.
- Obtaining witness evidence and supporting documentation where required.
- Preparing correspondence, pleadings and other legal documentation.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing clear updates throughout their claim.
- Liaising with insurers, solicitors, medical experts and other third parties.
- Negotiating settlements and working towards the best possible outcome for clients.
- Monitoring court directions, procedural deadlines and key dates.
- Keeping case management systems accurately updated.
- Ensuring files meet internal quality, compliance and regulatory standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider team's performance and service levels.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Fast Track RTA Fee Earner who is confident managing their own caseload and understands the requirements of progressing Personal Injury claims through to settlement.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience handling Fast Track RTA claims.
- Strong working knowledge of the MOJ Portal.
- Experience managing a caseload with limited supervision.
- A good understanding of the Personal Injury claims process and relevant procedural requirements.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and case management skills.
- Excellent communication and client care abilities.
- The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to file management.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office.
