CRA Consulting is working in partnership with a well-regarded Local Authority to recruit an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join its established Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with substantial experience in public childcare law to join a supportive and collaborative team handling a varied and complex caseload.
The Role
- You will manage your own caseload of public and private childcare matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to the Council.
- The role offers exposure to complex and challenging work, including:
- Care proceedings and public childcare matters
- Advocacy in Family Proceedings Courts, Magistrates' Courts and County Courts
- Advising Social Workers, Managers and Senior Stakeholders
- Drafting legal documentation and court applications
- Judicial Review matters where required
- Instructing and working alongside Counsel
- Supporting and mentoring junior legal colleagues
About You
To be considered, you will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive
- Have substantial experience in childcare law
