CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing South Yorkshire law firm to recruit a Property Paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious property paralegal looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative property team. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a varied caseload of residential and commercial property matters, gaining valuable hands-on experience while being supported by experienced legal professionals.

The Opportunity

As a Property Paralegal, you’ll provide support across a broad range of residential and commercial property matters, assisting with files from instruction through to completion. This role would suit someone with previous property experience who is keen to build on their technical knowledge and take the next step in their legal career. The firm offers a genuinely supportive environment, with structured training and clear opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Residential Property
    • Assisting with residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
    • Supporting fee earners with sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
    • Assisting with title checks and reviewing property documentation
    • Obtaining and reviewing property searches
    • Assisting with enquiries and liaising with clients and third parties
    • Preparing completion statements and supporting the completion process
    • Assisting with SDLT submissions and post-completion work
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records
  • Commercial Property
    • Supporting fee earners with a range of commercial property transactions
    • Assisting with commercial leases, renewals and associated documentation
    • Conducting property searches and assisting with due diligence
    • Preparing and reviewing legal documentation
    • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other third parties
    • Providing general administrative and legal support to the wider property team

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within a commercial property or residential conveyancing environment
  • An understanding of residential and/or commercial property transactions
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A client-focused and professional approach
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude and genuine desire to develop within property law

Candidates currently studying towards a CILEX, CLC or other relevant legal qualification would also be encouraged to apply.
