CRA Consulting is delighted to be working on behalf of a highly regarded specialist family law practice in the recruitment of a Private Client Family Solicitor. Our client is recognised as one of the UK’s leading family law firms, with an outstanding reputation for advising individuals, business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth clients on complex and sensitive family matters. With continued growth across its offices and a strong pipeline of quality instructions, the firm is seeking an ambitious solicitor to join its collaborative and highly respected team. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of privately funded family law work within a firm that is committed to excellence, innovation, and exceptional client service.

The Opportunity

As a Private Client Family Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of family law matters while building trusted relationships with clients during some of the most important periods of their lives. Working alongside experienced family law specialists, you will advise on a range of matters including:

  • Divorce and separation
  • High-value and complex financial settlements
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Separation agreements
  • Relationship breakdown involving business and property interests

The successful candidate will enjoy significant client contact, responsibility for their own matters, and the opportunity to work on complex and often high-profile cases alongside recognised specialists in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of privately funded family law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Providing strategic, commercially aware, and practical legal advice.
  • Conducting client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Drafting legal documentation, court applications, witness statements, consent orders, and correspondence.
  • Negotiating settlements and achieving positive outcomes for clients.
  • Liaising with barristers, financial advisers, accountants, and other professional experts.
  • Ensuring files are managed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to business development and networking activities where appropriate.

Candidate Profile

Applications are welcomed from solicitors who can demonstrate:

  • Experience handling private family law matters.
  • Strong technical knowledge across divorce, financial remedies, and private children work.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A client-focused approach with the ability to provide empathetic and pragmatic advice.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation capabilities.
  • The ability to manage matters independently while working effectively within a team environment.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach to legal practice.

Experience advising high-net-worth individuals or working within a specialist private family law environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate will benefit from:

  • Competitive salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience.
  • Performance-related bonus of up to 10% of annual salary.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement increasing with service.
  • Enhanced pension contributions.
  • Life assurance.
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support and employee assistance programmes.
  • Access to a wide range of employee discounts and lifestyle benefits.

Importantly, the firm operates without individual billing targets, allowing solicitors to focus on delivering exceptional client service and high-quality legal advice without the pressure of volume-driven metrics.

Why Apply?

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a nationally recognised specialist practice where quality, collaboration, and professional development are genuinely prioritised. The role offers access to outstanding work, a supportive team culture, and clear opportunities for career progression within one of the most respected family law environments in the market.
