A growing and well-established accountancy practice in Sheffield is looking to appoint an experienced Practice Manager to support the continued expansion of the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong practice administration and company secretarial experience to join a friendly and professional environment where they can make a real impact.
The Role
You will take ownership of a broad range of practice management and company secretarial responsibilities, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice reporting to the partners. Responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping duties on behalf of the practice
- Maintaining Supplier contracts and details
- Handling compliance
- Overseeing facilities / buildings
There is also scope to become involved in additional company secretarial work, including company formations and share class changes, although this is not essential. This will include:
- Filing confirmation statements
- Managing PSC registers
- Processing director changes and company updates
- Handling voluntary strike-offs and dormant company submissions
- Preparing share transfer certificates
- Managing dividend documentation and related administration
- Supporting compliance and Companies House filing requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice or professional services environment
- Strong company secretarial and practice management experience
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience dealing with Companies House filings and statutory requirements
- A proactive and adaptable approach within a growing business environment
