CRA Consulting is pleased to be working with a respected specialist claimant law firm in Sheffield to recruit a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its growing and highly regarded team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or lawyer at the beginning of their post-qualification career to build specialist expertise within claimant clinical negligence. The Role

You will become part of an expanding Clinical Negligence department that acts on behalf of individuals who have suffered injury as a result of negligent medical treatment. From the outset, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of cases, developing both your technical expertise and client management skills. The role offers a balance of independent file handling and support on more complex and higher-value matters, allowing you to gain valuable experience across all stages of the claims process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims under appropriate supervision
  • Assisting senior lawyers on complex and high-value litigation matters
  • Reviewing and analysing medical records and supporting evidence
  • Drafting correspondence, witness statements, legal documentation, and Letters of Claim
  • Liaising with medical experts and reviewing expert evidence
  • Supporting investigations into liability and causation
  • Assisting with settlement negotiations and case strategy
  • Building strong relationships with clients and providing clear, compassionate legal advice throughout their claim

As your experience develops, you will be encouraged to take on increasing levels of responsibility and play a more active role in progressing cases from initial instruction through to resolution.

About You

Applications are welcomed from newly qualified solicitors through to those with up to one year’s post-qualification experience. You may have gained experience in clinical negligence, personal injury, litigation, or a related area during your training contract or post-qualification career and will be looking to specialise within claimant clinical negligence.
