Job Title: Private Client Legal Secretary,
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000,
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
Support senior legal staff by transcribing dictation from both written and audio sources
Draft, proofread, and review legal documents with a focus on accuracy and clarity
Take and verify statements, ensuring detailed and accurate record-keeping
Review and organise medical records for case preparation when necessary
Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, including client correspondence and inquiries
Act as a primary point of contact for clients via phone, email, and written communication
Screen and direct incoming calls to the relevant departments or team members
Maintain a well-organised filing system, both digital and physical
Schedule and manage appointments, resolving any conflicts in a timely manner
Provide general administrative assistance to support smooth office operations
Prepare and assemble court bundles for hearings and trials
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Legal Secretary
Proficient typing skills with attention to detail- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
