CRA Consulting is pleased to be working with a well-established law firm seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Locum Solicitor to provide short-term holiday cover at their Newark office. This is an excellent opportunity for a residential conveyancer looking for a brief assignment within a friendly and supportive team environment. The successful candidate will provide cover for an existing fee earner, ensuring continuity of service and smooth progression of client matters.

The Role

  • Managing an established residential conveyancing caseload, including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
    • Reviewing and progressing matters from instruction through to completion
    • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
    • Providing high-quality client care throughout the conveyancing process

The role is well organised and supported, allowing an experienced locum to quickly integrate and provide effective cover from day one.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner background
  • Strong residential conveyancing experience with the ability to manage a caseload independently
  • Confidence stepping into an existing workload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Availability from 20th–26th October 2026
