Job Title: Real Estate SecretaryLocation: Leeds, West YorkshireSalary: £25,000 – £27,000Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking to specialise or continue your career in Real Estate law? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading full-service law firm known for its supportive culture, professional development, and long-standing client relationships. With continued growth across its departments – particularly in Real Estate – the firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented secretary to support its busy property team.
What the Role Involves:As a Real Estate Legal Secretary, you'll be providing crucial support to solicitors and fee earners handling a variety of commercial and residential property matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
- Audio and copy typing using digital dictation systems
- Opening and maintaining client files in line with compliance procedures
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other third parties, often acting as the first point of contact
- Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and assisting with property completion processes
- Handling land registry submissions, searches, and SDLT forms
- Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within real estate/conveyancing or a similar legal area
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when working with legal documents
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A confident and professional communication style, both written and verbal
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- A team player who's also comfortable working independently and taking initiative
