Are you an experienced accountant ready to take the next step in your career?

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Client Manager to join our client a growing accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has management experience, or an ambitious accountant who is ready to step into a management role and has some previous exposure to supervising or managing a team.

\n

As Client Manager, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, overseeing a small team and ensuring that work is completed efficiently, accurately and to a high standard.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing a small team of accounting staff.
  • \n

  • Planning and overseeing team workloads and workflows.
  • \n

  • Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of year-end accounts.
  • \n

  • Overseeing bookkeeping, VAT returns and tax compliance.
  • \n

  • Reviewing work to ensure accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • \n

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
  • \n

  • Building strong, professional relationships with clients.
  • \n

  • Supporting and mentoring team members, helping them develop their technical and professional skills.
  • \n

  • Identifying workflow improvements and helping to ensure the practice operates efficiently.
  • \n

  • Working closely with the wider management team to deliver an excellent service to clients.
  • \n

About You

\n

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced accountant with a strong practice background holding a professional accounting qualification, ACA/ ACCA or equivalent
  • \n

  • Confident dealing directly with clients.
  • \n

  • Experienced in accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and tax.
  • \n

  • Organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • \n

  • A confident communicator with excellent attention to detail.
  • \n

  • Comfortable reviewing work and providing guidance to others.
  • \n

  • Already managing a team, or ready to take that next step with some previous experience supervising or managing others.
  • \n

  • Proactive, approachable and keen to develop their career within a forward-thinking practice.
  • \n
