The Opportunity
CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a growing and highly successful private investment and development business to recruit an experienced Document Review Paralegal on an initial 3-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded in-house legal function supporting a broad range of complex and high-value disputes, including commercial litigation, professional negligence matters and shareholder disputes. Working alongside experienced General Counsel, external City law firms and leading barristers, you will play a key role in a substantial document review project, helping to support ongoing litigation matters and investigations. The role offers excellent exposure to high-quality legal work typically associated with leading private practice firms, whilst working within a dynamic and commercially focused organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting detailed document review exercises across a range of ongoing litigation matters.
- Reviewing, categorising and analysing large volumes of documentation.
- Assisting with disclosure and evidence management processes.
- Utilising OpenText and related document management systems.
- Supporting the in-house legal team on commercial litigation, professional negligence and shareholder disputes.
- Liaising with solicitors, barristers and external legal advisers where required.
- Assisting with case preparation and legal project management tasks.
What They're Looking For
- Previous experience undertaking document review work within a legal environment.
- Ideally experience using OpenText or similar document review platforms.
- Paralegal, litigation assistant or legal executive background.
- Experience within commercial litigation, disputes, investigations or regulatory matters would be highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review large volumes of documentation accurately.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider legal team.
- Professional, resilient and commercially minded approach.
