As they continue to grow, they are now recruiting for a newly created senior-level position — a hybrid role that combines operational oversight with regulatory leadership. Your Core Responsibilities
- Risk & Compliance
- Act as the central point of contact for all risk, regulatory and compliance matters.
- Oversee AML, GDPR, CDD, and sanctions frameworks — ensuring total alignment with SRA and sector standards.
- Lead internal audits, risk assessments and file reviews.
- Maintain and regularly update firmwide policies and procedures.
- Support SRA audits and proactively manage the firm’s compliance register.
- Embed a culture of risk-awareness through education, leadership and engagement.
- Operational Management
- Oversee staff onboarding and induction processes, managing a small team.
- Act as Client Services Manager — handling client complaints sensitively and effectively.
- Evaluate, enhance and implement compliance systems and software solutions.
- Deliver engaging training sessions across the firm, ensuring full understanding of risk protocols.
- Collaborate with the senior team to shape strategic decisions with risk-focused input.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ experience in compliance, risk or operations in a law firm or other regulated sector (e.g. financial services)
- Strong understanding of SRA rules, AML legislation, GDPR and related frameworks
- A confident communicator who can influence and educate across all levels
- Proactive, hands-on, and tech-literate
- Experience managing client complaints or regulatory queries is a plus
- Law degree or legal qualification desirable, but not essential
