The Role

  • You will advise on a broad range of residential development matters, including:
    • Land acquisitions for national and regional housebuilders
    • Strategic option and promotion agreements
    • Development funding arrangements
    • Transfers, overage agreements and ancillary development documentation
    • Brownfield regeneration and mixed‑use developments
    • Joint venture projects involving registered providers and public sector organisations
    • Affordable housing disposals and bulk sales to PRS and Build‑to‑Rent investors
    • Supporting and supervising junior lawyers within the team
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Participating in business development initiatives, networking events and client training programmes

The team acts on developments ranging from local housing schemes through to major urban regeneration projects involving thousands of homes and multi‑billion‑pound investment values.

About You

  • Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with approximately 4+ years’ PQE, ideally with experience in Residential Development, Real Estate or Commercial Property.
  • Strong technical ability in commercial property or residential development matters
  • A genuine interest in building a long‑term career within this specialist area
  • Excellent commercial awareness and client relationship skills
  • The ability to manage complex transactions with confidence
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor junior colleagues
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, ambitious and solutions‑focused mindset
