Our client is a highly regarded, established SME law firm based just outside Leeds, known for its strong client focus and consistently high standards of legal service. The firm has built an excellent reputation within the claimant personal injury market and continues to grow through an increasing level of new instructions and a strong pipeline of work. As part of this continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious litigator who is looking to work on complex, high-value matters while also taking the next step in their career. Importantly, the role offers genuine scope to develop into a more senior or managerial position, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to take on increased responsibility as the team and caseload continue to expand.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters, with a particular focus on complex and multi-track litigation. The work will include:
- Serious and catastrophic injury claims
- Road traffic accident (RTA) claims
- Employer’s liability (EL) claims
- Public liability (PL) claims
- Criminal injury claims
- Selected clinical/medical negligence matters
The majority of the caseload will sit within the multi-track, providing exposure to complex litigation, significant damages claims and high-value settlements. You will have responsibility for managing matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, including:
- Conducting cases through all stages of litigation
- Preparing pleadings, court documentation and legal correspondence
- Instructing and liaising with experts and counsel
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients’ interests effectively
- Attending court hearings where required
- Providing clear, practical and empathetic advice to clients
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure cases are progressed efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining compliance with relevant legal, regulatory and procedural requirements
The successful candidate will be someone who combines strong technical litigation skills with excellent client care. You will be confident managing complex matters independently, while also contributing positively to the wider team. This is more than simply a fee-earning position. The firm is looking to appoint someone with the ambition and potential to develop into a senior/managerial capacity as the business continues to grow. For the right individual, there is scope to take on greater responsibility for colleagues, workflow and case management, with the potential to play an increasingly influential role within the department.
What’s on Offer
- Permanent position, available on a full-time or part-time basis
- Hybrid working with genuine flexibility
- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
- Contributory pension
- Performance-related bonus scheme
- Free on-site parking
- Strong exposure to complex, high-value personal injury litigation
- Genuine long-term career progression, including the potential to move into a managerial position
- Supportive, collaborative working environment within a growing and well-established firm
This would suit an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor who is ready to broaden their responsibilities, work on quality multi-track litigation and ultimately take the next step towards senior or managerial responsibility.
