CRA Consulting are working with a well-established national law firm as they look to appoint a Property Finance Paralegal to join their highly regarded team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or legal professional with some residential conveyancing experience who is looking to take the next step into more complex, high-value property work and develop more experience. This national firm supports a diverse client base across a variety of sectors. Their property practice is particularly well known for its work in the affordable housing and property finance space, regularly advising on high-value, complex transactions.
The Role
This role is ideal for someone who has already gained hands-on experience in residential conveyancing - perhaps through a paralegal role, legal assistant position, or placement year - and is now looking to broaden their technical expertise and work on larger-scale, more sophisticated transactions. You'll work closely with experienced Partners and Solicitors on major securitisation and property finance projects involving large property portfolios and complex funding structures. Alongside this, you'll manage your own caseload of transactional matters under supervision, giving you excellent exposure and responsibility from an early stage. The team offers a supportive and collaborative environment, making this a great opportunity for someone keen to continue learning, develop commercially, and build a long-term career within property law.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting due diligence on large-scale property finance and securitisation transactions
- Reviewing registered and unregistered titles
- Obtaining and analysing Official Copy Entries and Land Registry documentation
- Carrying out title checks and reporting on any issues identified
- Conducting searches and liaising with Local Authorities and third-party organisations
- Managing pre-completion searches and post-completion Land Registry requirements
- Chasing outstanding documentation and progressing matters proactively
- Assisting with the coordination and delivery of major property transactions
- Providing regular updates to clients and fee earners
- Supporting file management and transaction tracking
- Assisting other paralegals within the team where needed
- Meeting performance targets and ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards
