CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a growing and highly respected Yorkshire law firm to recruit an experienced Employment Litigation Solicitor for its expanding Wakefield office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join a firm that continues to invest heavily in its people and long-term growth strategy.
Following a sustained period of expansion and increased workflow, the Employment team is now looking to appoint an additional solicitor capable of managing a varied and high-quality caseload with a good degree of autonomy. The role offers a genuine opportunity to become part of the wider growth plans within the Wakefield office, working closely alongside senior stakeholders and key decision-makers within the business.
The Opportunity
You will join an established and supportive team handling a broad range of contentious employment matters acting for a varied client base across Yorkshire and beyond. The firm is ideally seeking someone with a minimum of 4 years PQE who is comfortable managing matters independently and able to provide practical, commercially focused advice to clients. There is flexibility around the overall structure of the role and the firm is open-minded regarding candidate background and level of experience. For the right individual, there may also be scope to take on additional responsibilities longer term as the department continues to grow. Hybrid working is fully supported, allowing a balance between office and home working.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a caseload of employment litigation matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on a broad range of contentious employment law issues
- Handling matters including:
- Unfair dismissal
- Discrimination claims
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Settlement agreements
- Redundancy and restructuring matters
- Employment Tribunal claims
What They’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Ideally 4+ years PQE within Employment Law
- Strong employment litigation experience preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Commercial and pragmatic approach
- Organised, proactive and team-oriented mindset
