Financial Management Information Officer (Career Grade)
12-month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Bolton
Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Information Officer to join a Local Authority Finance team on a 12-month fixed‑term contract. This role will support the effective management of financial resources across the Directorate, providing accurate financial information, budget monitoring, and advice to service managers and budget holders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and maintenance of budgets.
- Produce accurate budget monitoring reports and financial management information.
- Analyse financial data and provide insight to support decision‑making.
- Work with budget holders to ensure effective use of resources and value for money.
- Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and final accounts preparation.
- Provide financial guidance and support to non‑finance colleagues.
- Use Microsoft Excel and financial systems to analyse and present information.
About You:
You will have experience working in a finance environment, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non‑finance colleagues. You will ideally have:
- AAT qualification (full or part‑qualified) or equivalent.
- Experience preparing financial reports and management information.
- Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Experience supporting budgets, forecasting, and financial monitoring.
- Local Authority experience and knowledge of Oracle systems would be desirable.
