Job Description

Job Title: Employment Solicitor (NQ)Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 Salary Bracket (DOE)Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working Available)Contract: Full Time, PermanentRole Overview & Daily Responsibilities:

  • Advising businesses on a broad spectrum of employment law matters, including contracts, policies, grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, and dismissals.
  • Providing strategic advice on complex employment disputes, including discrimination claims, whistleblowing, and restrictive covenants.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, and advocacy where appropriate.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, staff handbooks, and settlement agreements.
  • Advising on TUPE transfers, restructures, and business acquisitions from an employment law perspective.
  • Representing business clients in negotiations, mediation, and dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Keeping clients informed of changes in employment legislation and advising on their implications.
  • Delivering training sessions and workshops to HR teams and senior management on employment law updates and best practices.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across other legal departments to provide holistic business advice.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high standard of client care and business development
