Overview

Our client is an award-winning legal firm based in Leeds City Centre, recognised for its excellent workplace culture and high-quality employment law offering. Due to continued growth within their employment team, the firm is looking to recruit an experienced Employment Associate (3-5 years' PQE). This is an excellent opportunity for an employment lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, gain exposure to a broad client base, and play a key role in the ongoing development of a growing and well-regarded practice.

Position

The successful candidate will manage a varied employment law caseload, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will advise a diverse range of clients, including senior individuals, employers, and wider organisational teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert legal and HR advice on new and existing employment law matters
  • Reviewing contracts, evidence, and legal documentation
  • Preparing and progressing claims
  • Managing cases through to conclusion
  • Conducting client consultations
  • Vetting cases
  • Preparing matters for tribunal and litigation
  • Briefing counsel where required

This role offers significant client contact, autonomy over files, and the opportunity to develop strong long-term client relationships within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Details

The firm offers a competitive salary of £60,000 to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, alongside an excellent benefits package. This includes 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, a birthday day off, holiday purchase and sale scheme, volunteer days, private healthcare, pension and life insurance schemes, wellbeing benefits, Perkbox, and travel cost support.

The role is full time and permanent, based in Leeds City Centre, with a hybrid working model in place.
