Are you an experienced corporate tax professional ready to step into a leadership role in a highly successful Sheffield firm? We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Tax Director to head up our expanding tax team and play a pivotal role overseeing the delivery of high-quality tax services including advisory, compliance and bespoke services to a diverse selection of clients.
The Role
As Corporate Tax Director, you are likely to have a strong background in corporate tax both compliance and advisory work to companies and be working at Senior Manager or Director level currently and looking to join a progressive firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Act as lead advisor on all corporate tax matters, including group structuring M&A, and reorganisations.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of high-value corporate clients, providing tailored tax planning and compliance services.
- Deliver strategic tax solutions to entrepreneurial businesses, owner-managed companies, and groups of companies.
- Play an active role in the leadership and direction of the wider tax team.
- Support in recruitment, mentoring, and development of corporate tax professionals at all levels.
- Lead business development initiatives to grow the firm's corporate tax client base.
- Develop strong internal and external referral networks and represent the firm at industry events and client meetings.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and work collaboratively with audit and business services teams.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) would be preferred although applications are welcomed from individuals who are qualified by experience.
- Extensive experience in UK corporate tax gained in an accountancy practice environment (Top 10, mid-tier, or strong local independent firm).
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing a corporate tax client portfolio.
- Strong technical expertise in UK corporate tax law, with an understanding of personal tax matters.
- A proven track record in building long-term client relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial acumen.
