Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid

CRA Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing specialist law firm to recruit an experienced Litigation Executive to join its successful Personal Injury and Group Claims team.

The firm has built a strong reputation for representing claimants in complex, high-value and high-profile litigation, with particular expertise across Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Consumer Claims and Group Litigation. As the team continues to expand, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation professional to take on a varied caseload and work alongside a highly supportive team of specialists.

This position would suit a Litigation Executive, Fee Earner or Legal Executive with solid experience in litigated claimant work who is looking to develop their technical expertise, take ownership of challenging cases and progress their career within a specialist claimant practice.

The Role

You'll manage your own caseload of litigated claimant matters, taking responsibility for files from the early stages of proceedings through to settlement or trial.

The role offers exposure to a broad and interesting range of litigation, including:

  • Personal Injury claims.
  • Group Litigation and collective actions.
  • Data breach claims.
  • Consumer disputes.
  • Other complex claimant litigation.

You'll be responsible for progressing matters effectively and strategically, ensuring clients receive a high standard of service throughout the litigation process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of litigated claims from inception through to resolution.
  • Assessing liability, causation and quantum and developing appropriate case strategies.
  • Drafting pre-action correspondence, pleadings and other legal documentation.
  • Preparing Claim Forms, Particulars of Claim, Directions Questionnaires, Part 18 Requests and other procedural documents.
  • Instructing and liaising with barristers, medical experts and other third parties.
  • Reviewing expert evidence and providing clear advice to clients.
  • Obtaining witness evidence and preparing detailed witness statements.
  • Assessing and valuing claims, including special damages.
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Managing court deadlines and ensuring compliance with procedural directions.
  • Assisting with trial preparation and attending hearings where required.
  • Maintaining high standards of file management, client care and regulatory compliance.

About You

We're looking for someone with strong experience of managing litigated claimant files who is keen to work on more complex and interesting matters within a specialist environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience handling litigated Personal Injury or wider civil litigation claims.
  • Strong knowledge of the litigation process and court procedures.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and case management skills.
  • The ability to manage your own caseload effectively and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a specialist team.

Experience across Group Litigation, Consumer Claims, Data Breach Litigation or Medical Negligence would be particularly advantageous, although candidates with strong broader claimant litigation experience are encouraged to apply.

Salary & Benefits

In return, you'll join a firm that genuinely invests in its people and provides the support and development needed to build a long-term career.

The package includes:

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
  • 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Company sick pay.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Flexible working arrangements, subject to business requirements.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression.

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced litigation professional to join a specialist claimant practice working on complex and high-quality litigation.

You'll gain exposure to a varied caseload, work alongside experienced practitioners and have the opportunity to further develop your litigation skills within a growing firm that places a strong emphasis on client service, professional development and progression.
