Our client is a well-established and growing boutique law firm offering a range of commercial and corporate services. Due to a programme of considerable growth, an opportunity has just become available to join the expanding commercial property department.
With ambitious plans to build a full-service offering across commercial, agricultural, and residential property, the firm is now seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor (NQ+) to join at an exciting stage of growth. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing a department, working closely with the Head of Property.
The Role Will Involve:
- You will manage your own varied caseload of commercial property matters, with supervision and ongoing support from the Head of Property.
- Work will include:
- Acquisitions and disposals of commercial and development land
- Agricultural and rural land transactions, licences, and tenancies
- Drafting and negotiating leases, licences, and option agreements
- Conditional contracts and overage/clawback agreements
- Easements, variations, and voluntary first registrations
- Sales, purchases, and refinancing matters
- Conducting title investigations and property searches
- Liaising directly with clients and stakeholders to provide pragmatic advice
This role offers exposure to a broad and interesting mix of work, including agricultural matters (experience in this area is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided).
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor from NQ upwards (CILEX or equivalent experience also considered)
- Proven ability to manage a transactional caseload independently
- Experience handling a range of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and development work
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commercially aware with a pragmatic, client-focused approach
- Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit environment
