CRA Consulting is working in partnership with a specialist claimant law firm to recruit an experienced
Military Claims Paralegal to join its growing Military Claims team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected legal practice specialising in representing serving personnel, veterans and their families.
You’ll gain exposure to high-quality and often complex military compensation and personal injury matters, working alongside experienced fee earners in a supportive environment with genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Role
You will provide direct support to a solicitor or fee earner managing a caseload of military claims, assisting with files from initial instruction through to settlement or conclusion.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting the progression of military compensation and personal injury claims.
- Assisting with case preparation, ensuring procedural deadlines are met and files progress efficiently.
- Obtaining and reviewing medical records, service records and other evidential documentation.
- Drafting routine legal correspondence, witness statements and court-related documents where appropriate.
- Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel and other third parties to progress claims.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records using the firm’s case management system.
- Preparing trial bundles, schedules of loss and settlement documentation.
- Providing exceptional client care and regular updates throughout the claims process.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the efficient progression of cases.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within a claimant litigation environment.
- Experience of personal injury, clinical negligence, military claims or civil litigation would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence handling legal documentation.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a supportive team.
Previous experience of Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) claims or military litigation would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
Candidates with a solid claimant personal injury background and an interest in this specialist area are encouraged to apply.
