CRA Consulting is working with a well‑established national personal injury practice to recruit a Technical Support Lawyer into their PI/RTA team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong PI Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer who enjoys quality, compliance, and technical problem‑solving, and is looking to step away from full fee earning while still remaining at the heart of complex personal injury work.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role as a technical specialist, supporting fee earners, team leaders and managers with legal queries, valuations, audits and quality control across litigated and non‑litigated PI matters. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical excellence, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, rather than running a full caseload.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing technical guidance on Personal Injury / RTA cases (litigated and non‑litigated)
- Reviewing and approving valuations, providing constructive feedback
- Conducting technical and quality audits across the team
- Sharing emerging case law and industry developments
- Contributing to technical training and knowledge sessions
- Supporting performance improvement across agreed KPIs
- Assisting with technical research for senior leadership
- Identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Producing analysis and written reports
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards are met
- Supporting complaints handling in line with regulatory requirements
What they’re looking for
- Qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEX
- Solid experience handling Personal Injury claims, including litigated matters
- Good working knowledge of OIC, Small Claims, Fast Track and Intermediate Track
- Strong technical knowledge of PI litigation and court procedures
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- A collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset
