As the group continues to grow, they are seeking to appoint a Technical Conveyancing Auditor – a crucial, non-client-facing role focused on file auditing, regulatory compliance, and technical mentoring across multiple branches.
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced conveyancer or property solicitor who wants to take a step away from day-to-day fee earning and move into a technical oversight and training-led position, all while working remotely.
The Role
As a Technical Conveyancing Auditor, you will be at the forefront of maintaining technical excellence and file quality across the branch network. You will conduct detailed audits of conveyancing files, provide feedback to fee earners, monitor risk exposure, and support ongoing staff development and operational improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing systematic audits of residential conveyancing files
- Identifying risks, compliance issues, and procedural inconsistencies
- Offering practical, solution-focused feedback to fee earners
- Supporting the professional development of conveyancers through mentoring and guidance
- Helping drive consistency in technical standards across the group
- Keeping teams updated on legislative changes and regulatory updates
- Collaborating with senior leadership to refine compliance and quality frameworks
- Feeding into internal training, supervision, and policy development
Candidate Profile
We\’re looking for a technically strong conveyancing professional who is passionate about quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Essential:
- Background as a residential conveyancer – solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer
- Strong understanding of conveyancing processes from instruction to completion
- Excellent working knowledge of CQS, SRA regulations, and general risk/compliance requirements
- High attention to detail and confident in auditing and report writing
- Ability to communicate clearly and constructively with conveyancing teams
- Technically minded with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
Desirable:
- Previous experience in auditing, training, compliance or quality assurance
- Familiarity with case management systems and digital audit tools
- Experience working in a multi-office or volume conveyancing environment
