Role: Commercial Property Locum – Solicitor / Legal Executive
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Rate: £48 – £55 per hour (self-employed)
Contract: 3 months (with strong likelihood of extension into the New Year)
The Opportunity
CRA Consulting are delighted to be working with a well-established law firm in Barnsley who are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Locum to provide key support during a transitional period. The role is initially for around 3 months while the practice recruits permanently, but is expected to extend into 2026.
This is a chance to join a reputable firm with an established property team and make an immediate impact by managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters.
The Role
As the appointed Locum, you will handle:
Landlord & tenant matters
Freehold and leasehold transactions
Acquisitions, disposals, and development work
Commercial leases and renewals
Secretarial support is provided, allowing you to focus on fee earning and client service.
Candidate Profile
We are keen to hear from:
Commercial Property Solicitors with proven post-qualification experience
Commercial Property Legal Executives with a strong track record in this field
Tried-and-tested locums who can quickly slot into a busy department
Office attendance in Barnsley is preferred (remote working is not the focus for this assignment).
